Client Experience

Trusted on both sides of the Tasman.

"We had two accountants giving us two different answers about the same raise. Having one team look at both countries together removed all the guesswork."

Daniel FerrisStartup Founder, Auckland — raised a seed round in 2025

"I moved my life across the Tasman and had no idea what to do with my KiwiSaver. The whole transfer was handled without me chasing anyone."

Emily ChapmanNew Sydney Resident, relocated from Wellington

"Everything was scoped and priced before we started. No surprise invoices, no jargon — just a clear plan we could actually follow."

Michael TanakaSmall Business Owner, cross-border property owner

"We shifted our whole family from Auckland to Sydney and started the business at the same time. Having someone plan the structuring and the visa side together saved us months."

James MitchellFounder, relocated Auckland to Sydney

"Moving the kids, the house, and my husband's job across the Tasman all at once was overwhelming. They mapped out our residency and tax position before we even landed, so settling in Melbourne felt calm instead of chaotic."

Sarah ReynoldsRelocated from Wellington to Melbourne

"Retiring to New Zealand sounded simple until we looked at our Super and the rental property we kept in Brisbane. They walked us through both without a single moment of guessing."

FAQ

Questions before you book.

Do I need a separate accountant in each country?
No — that's the exact gap we close. One engagement covers advice on both sides of the Tasman, coordinated so nothing is duplicated or missed.
How much does this cost?
Most engagements are fixed-fee or a scoped monthly retainer, agreed before any work starts — never open-ended hourly billing.
Can you work with me if I'm not in Auckland or Sydney yet?
Yes — most clients work with us entirely remotely by video call and shared cloud tools.
I'm not incorporated yet — can you still help?
Yes — structuring and entity choice is one of our most common starting points for new founders.

About Us

One practice, two countries.

Why we started

We started this firm because we kept meeting the same person twice — once in New Zealand, once in Australia, always with the same problem: two accountants, two sets of advice, and nobody looking at the whole picture. A founder raising capital in one country while incorporating in the other. A family relocating for work with retirement savings stuck in the wrong scheme. Trans-Tasman life is normal; Trans-Tasman advice, until now, has not been.

Our mission

To give every entrepreneur, investor, and family moving across the Tasman a single, coordinated source of financial and tax advice — so no decision is made blind on either side of the border.

What makes us different

Most firms are licensed and comfortable in one country and treat the other as a referral. We operate as one practice across both, which means your NZ and AU positions are planned together from the start — not reconciled after the fact when something's already gone wrong.

Our values

  • Clarity over jargonIf you can't repeat our advice back in your own words, we haven't finished explaining it.
  • Scoped, not open-endedEvery engagement has a defined outcome and fee agreed before we start.
  • One team, two countriesYour Auckland and Sydney advice comes from people who talk to each other, not separate firms who don't.
Leadership

The people behind the practice.
